Aloof
Cool and distante. Not friendly or forthcoming. Distant physically or emotionally. Reserved and remote. Used as an adverb means at a distance but within view, apart.
At the beginning I thought of looking for interesting words in google, but then after I decided to read an article about Bogota, a bit funny. I was just searching an interesting word, so, when "aloof" appeared, I did not read anymore. Here you are the link if you want to have a look: http://gosouthamerica.about.com/cs/southamerica/a/ColBogota.htm
Very interesting explanation dear, thank you However, Ithink you should have to finish the full article. It seems interesting, but I may have not much interest in going to the old citiy, where "street vendors peddling emeralds, thieves, beggars, street people and drug dealers wrapped around"
Wow, interesting word, I didn't know it
ReplyDeleteWhy did you choose this word? Where did you learned it?
